Halfway Reflection
1) Tenaciousness is a competency.
There are a lot of assignments in this course, which I don't mind, but I've been using my time management skills to keep up with them. A few of them require more than just writing blog posts, so I've made it a point to plan ahead for my assignments the week before.
2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude.
I had a really stressful point in the semester about three weeks ago when I was trying to prepare for my ACG2021 exam while managing my other classes. It was really difficult to try and make time for everything, especially because I had a club volleyball tournament down in Orlando that weekend, which took up about two days of my time. What got me through was knowing that if I powered through it all, it would feel a lot better once the exam was over and I didn't have as many things going on. I feel like I have always been a bit tenacious but this class has definitely helped me develop that even more because of the ways that the given assignments make you think.
3) Three tips.
I would tell students that they should try and recognize the strengths that they already have, and try to figure out how they can apply them to support tenacity. Another tip would be to embrace the assignments and not be reluctant when doing them. If you're reluctant you're not likely to perform as well as you possibly can. I'd also tell them to be open to criticism and feedback because it'll help them develop their own tenacity and ideas.
