Elevator Pitch No. 2

A lot of the feedback I received on my first elevator pitch was positive. People liked my tone and how I presented my information, and that it was simple yet informative. One person said I had a good hook so I decided to stick with it. That specific feedback about the hook helped me out a lot because it originally took me a very long time to come up with a hook that was interesting yet relevant to the opportunity I had chosen.

I honestly did not change a lot from my first elevator pitch. I think it did a good job of getting the necessary information across and in a simple way. I did work on making it more natural; I feel like the first one I did came across as too rehearsed.

  1. Hi Olivia,

I think the fact that you did not feel the need to change a lot about your first elevator pitch says a lot about how you did on the first try. I think it was smart of you to leave your hook as I agree that it is a great way to get the listener's attention. I also felt that my first pitch was a little bit rehearsed, so I also tried to make my second one seem a little more natural and conversational and I think that is an important aspect of an elevator pitch. I agree that keeping things simple and to the point is important because you don't want the listener to get confused or bored. Great job with your second pitch!

  2. Hey Olivia,

I think its great that you received positive feedback and then made an effort to keep the things people liked replicated in this video. I like that you pointed out what you tried to change, so as a viewer we can take notice of what you are trying to work on. I also think you did sound more natural in this video and great job.
